Weekly Yojijukugo –

Back for week two of ‘Weekly Yojijukugo” and this time we’re looking at

This week’s yojijukugo is made up of the characters:

古今ーここん – old and modern (now)

The literal meaning of this compound is “from old to new and anywhere (from east to west).” So it means regardless of age/time and location.

Why would you have one of those? I don’t know, but it fits the meaning.

What do you think? Do you have any good examples that can use Let me know in the comments below!
